The GLOBAL INVESTMENT IMMIGRATION SUMMIT & GLOBAL EDUCATION FAIR 2018 Bangalore (GIIS18) will be an important date in the calendar for direct investors, students and their families seeking immigration, immigration agents, global mobility managers and developers.
BLS Global is pleased to announce the next in our series of Global Investment Immigration Summits for 2018 – taking place in Bangalore on the 20-21 October, Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel, 26/1 Dr. Rajkumar Road Malleswaram, Rajaji Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560055, India – which aims to bring together international immigration citizenship experts from the USA, the Caribbean, the UK/Ireland, the Mediterranean, Spain and Portugal and other key target regions.

Why India?

According to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) data for fiscal year 2016, India accounted for $177 million in foreign direct investment (FDI), only behind China and Vietnam. Given the slowdown in the Chinese market, EB-5 and global projects sponsors are increasingly looking towards India as a vital investor marketplace. The Indian EB5 market was ranked number three in the world in 2016, behind China and Vietnam – however in 2017, India rose to the number two position, overtaking Vietnam. India is poised to overtake China as the world’s biggest EB-5 market in 2018/2019. This is consistent with the reality across all employment-based immigration categories, as the two largest countries in the world, India and China are neck-to-neck in most immigration categories. · Currently more than 15.6 million Indian Immigrants were residing abroad and the demand and desire from Indian clients for outbound migration and investment opportunities continues to grow. It is therefore widely recognised that India is in need for a one-stop-shop event outlining all the major immigration programmes globally. · Often regarded as an easy-to-penetrate market, India forms the cornerstone of many educational institution’s international student intake. With almost 200,000 Indian students currently studying abroad – a number that seemingly has no limits – only China sends more international students overseas.

Why Bangalore?

Bengaluru (also called Bangalore) is ideally situated for this event, with its rising position in the global marketplace and in-turn an exponential growth in overseas citizenship, residency applicants and especially due to the backlog of H-1B visas. Bengaluru is the capital of India’s southern Karnataka state. The centre of India’s high-tech industry, the city is also known for its parks and nightlife. The city is sometimes referred to as the “Silicon Valley of India” (or “IT capital of India”) because of its role as the nation’s leading information technology (IT) exporter. Indian technological organisations ISRO, Infosys, Wipro and HAL are headquartered in the city. Bengaluru is the second fastest-growing major metropolis in India. It is home to many educational and research institutions in India, such as the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), the Indian Institute of Management (Bangalore) (IIMB), the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore, the National Institute of Design, Bangalore (NID R&D Campus), the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) and the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS). Numerous state-owned aerospace and defence organisations, such as Bharat Electronics, Hindustan Aeronautics and National Aerospace Laboratories are located in the city. The city also houses the Kannada film industry. Bangalore (Bengaluru) is the centre of India’s high-tech and IT industry, and is often referred to as India’s Silicone Valley. Bangalore has a population of approximately 10.5 million, including the country’s highest concentration of young people, and is the fastest growing Indian metropolis behind New Delhi. The need for an event is critical outlining all the Citizenship and Residency program is imperative.
